Napa Jet Center, originally Bridgeford Flying Services, was founded by World War II pilots eager to apply their flying skills to business. At its start, the Napa airport had been built as a military base following the bombing of Pearl Harbor. In 1946, Dick Bridgeford, Caesar Bertagna, and Jack Bergin started a charter business and flying school. These heroes had a vision for the potential of what the Napa airport would become.
In 1990, a renowned group of local aviation enthusiasts purchased Bridgeford Flying Services. Over the next eight years, Bridgeford Flying Services continued to evolve and work to meet the growing needs of the general aviation community. In 1998, the local owners elected to sell the company to Corporate Airpark, Inc., an investor who would continue the legacy.
Looking Toward Our Future
Since the purchase by Lynx FBO Network in 2018, our company has continued growing and expanding our capabilities to support the needs of the corporate and general aviation community at the Napa County Airport.
Lynx is a rapidly growing network of FBOs in the general aviation industry with locations in Destin, Florida, Minneapolis (Anoka), Minnesota, Portland (Aurora), Oregon, Little Rock, Arkansas and soon Napa, California. The Lynx team is comprised of industry veterans who have worked together building FBO networks over many years, serving in management roles at numerous large FBO networks including Landmark Aviation, Atlantic Aviation and Trajen. Over the course of their careers, Chad Farischon, Tyson Goetz and Matt DeLellis have purchased and integrated over 50 FBOs, as well as managed marquee locations including FBOs in Aspen, Teterboro and Miami. Greg Elliott, a Partner at The Sterling Group, has been involved in building several FBO networks in the past capable of flying nonstop to Hawaii or the East Coast. After two years of extensive focus groups of industry peers, marketing experts, local pilots, and the families of our founders, the company rebranded as the Napa Jet Center in September 2011.
